1 day, 1 night in Manila, Paysay City
Before our adventure truly came to an end, we decided to spend our last night in Manila before flying home. I really recommend this to break up the travel time, and get a good nights sleep before catching a plane the next day. We booked an apartment close to Terminal 3 in Paysay City, so that we could leisurely walk to the airport in the morning.
Hotel:MG condominium at Two Palm Tree Villas Manila
This apartment is very close to the airport, with good facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool and gym, both available for guests to use for free. The complex feels very safe with 24-hour security guards and a reception area where you can collect the keys.

Privacy and location are one of the two perks, you don’t hear traffic or people. The staff working here are extra friendly and willing to help accommodate visitors. The complex feels a place where professionals live, and it’s a bonus that the gym and pool can be used.
There are two large shopping malls located close to this area with a cinema, plenty of restaurants, a casino and places to leisurely shop. You can either walk to Resorts World, which takes about 15 mins, or take a free shuttle from MG Condominium if you’d prefer. The casino oozes a touch of ‘Las Vegas’ vibe to this part of Manila. It’s a place where there lots of recent development, upmarket Nobu restaurant even has a residency here!
Places to eat:
Ichiba Japanese Seafood Market
In the style of a “izakaya”, a small Japanese bar in Osaka, this place brings a taste of Japan to Manila, offering a wide variety of small, inexpensive dishes and snacks accompanied with Japanese beer. What’s unique about this place, is that it feels like an authentic street food market (without the queues). You have your own waiter who orders your selected dishes from the different food stations, making it an enjoyable experience!

There’s plenty on the menu – the sushi and gyoza were both delicious and reasonably priced. The sushi platter is worth ordering for a good selection!

Travel: Terminal 3 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport can be accessed via a long foot-bridge from the apartment complex – it’s an easy 10-15 mins walk!
