Sorrento really is a wonderful place to visit in Southern Italy. I can’t recommend it enough as the perfect base for exploring the Amalfi coast and its surroundings.
The award for the prettiest scenery and best beaches may go to Positano and Capri, but what Sorrento uniquely offers is a true glimpse of real bustling Italian life.
It is the perfect place to wake up every morning, and to watch the sunset over the bay of Naples every evening!
